Imitation is the best form of flattery (or is it?) #plagiarism
Someone recently tipped me off about a company plagiarizing my personal logo (the 2009 version):

My logo got a decent amount of coverage > LogoFaves, LogoOfTheDay, TheDesignInspiration, WebDesignersDepot
The worst part is that they (the plagiarizer) did not even do a good job of it. The concept behind my logo, and the part that makes it any good is the number “2″ lying on it’s side. It is a “2″ and functions as the “L” and “O” of “love”. The play on the letter-forms made it interesting and without it, it is just some stylized text – as in their case it spells out the “lover” part of “car lover”.
This is what was sent to me (thanks to the anonymous tipper – an example of the design community supporting its own):

Above; the magazine cover and the credits page with what I assume to be the “culprits”. Their website here.

My logo featured on Webdesigner Depot [ #thankyouverymuch ]

They said:
The logos featured here create the company’s name by combining intricate shapes made up of fonts and illustrations.
These are usually the kind of logos that make you take a second look and say “wow, that’s clever!”.

French design blog Graphucinno put the one2love logo on their “best logo of 2008″ list. Thanks guys / girls.
Direct translation from french (using Google Translate):
The 10 best logo
In the view of many designers, the logo design is the most complicated exercise and most périeux that is a visual communication. Getting the message to mark a company, a concept, an image that can be displayed in both 16px X 16px on screen, printed in a hat, or black and white poster is often an achievement. The real logo are beautiful works that I respect enormously and I will never tire of admiring. Let today on the logo that marked the year 2008.
